In Luke 10:30-37, Jesus tells the story of a man left beaten and abandoned on the side of the road. A priest and a temple assistant pass by without offering help, but a Samaritan—an unlikely hero—stops, cares for the man, and ensures his recovery. Jesus ends the parable by challenging us to “go and do the same.” This story is a profound reminder that everyone has intrinsic value, and loving others means recognising and responding to that worth. Our value is not determined by what society sees or says about us. God places immeasurable worth on each of us, seeing beyond our flaws and failures to the beauty He created.
